Hello! I’m Louise Cadwell — art educator, writer, and creative explorer.

I’ve had the good fortune to grow up with a mother who took me to museums and painted with me, to teach and learn alongside many children and adults, to live for a year in Reggio Emilia, Italy, and now to have time to write, draw, and paint what means most to me in life.

I hope that the blog posts, gallery, and resources shared here will encourage and inspire you.

Pay attention.
Be astonished.
Tell about it.”

A brightly lit classroom with various shelves, tables, and seating areas. There are educational materials, craft supplies, and decorative items, including a vase with pink lilies on a table in the foreground. The room has windows with curtains and a bulletin board with photos and posters.

Ashley and I are happy to share 17 years of our work, carefully archived here for the future. The blog posts document the progress and inspiring work of many teachers from schools across North America. We invite you to explore.
